The
attention of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK) has
been drawn to a fake Facebook account purportedly belonging to the
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. William Barnabas Qurix, OFR, FNIA.

The
University wishes to categorically state that the Vice-Chancellor does not have
a Facebook account and has not authorised anyone to operate one on his behalf. Members of
the public are therefore advised to disregard any message, request,
solicitation or communication purportedly from the Vice-Chancellor through
Facebook or any unauthorised social media account. Such communications are the
handiwork of mischief-makers and fraudsters.

Anyone who
engages, transacts or shares personal information with such individuals does so
at his or her own risk. The University will not be held responsible for any
loss or consequence arising from such interactions. The public
is urged to exercise caution and rely only on information released through the
University’s official communication channels.
