EFCC Executive Chairman Visits FUASK for Facility Inspection

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK), Prof. William Barnabas Qurix, OFR, FNIA, alongside key stakeholders, received the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, and his delegation during an official visit to the university campus on Wednesday, 18th June 2025.

The high-level reception included the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung; the Honourable Member representing Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Dan Amos; the Chairman of Kachia Local Government, Hon. Dr. Daniel Manzo Maigari; and the Agom Kachia, His Royal Highness Zamani Dogon Yaro, among others.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Qurix expressed deep appreciation for the support that led to the establishment of FUASK. He remarked, “Once we were not there, but today we are here,” highlighting the university's journey and promising to transform FUASK into a world-class citadel of learning. He extended heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima; the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani; the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa; the EFCC Chairman; and all other stakeholders who contributed to the birth of the institution.

In his remarks, Mr. Olukoyede stated that his visit was to affirm that good governance is achievable in Nigeria, emphasizing that President Tinubu has demonstrated accountability, transparency, and the prudent use of recovered assets. He stressed that the dividends of democracy must be evident across zones, states, and the nation as a whole. He urged the university administration and host community to preserve and maintain the university’s infrastructure as a legacy for future generations.
